Smaller diamonds looks better on a woman with small hands and fingers, while larger diamonds look better on larger hands and fingers. If you’re fancy and glitzy, then a larger diamond would be perfect for you. However, if you prefer simplicity, then a smaller one would do just as well. How much you can afford certainly plays a part in the size of a diamond. The old adage is two months salary for a diamond engagement ring. This may not be the case in certain situations. If you’re strapped for cash, you might consider purchasing a ring that has several smaller stones. Another option is to purchase a ring with another precious gem, such as a ruby or sapphire.
